The Book of Jasher: Complete Audio Edition (Parts 1 & 2), Translated by Moses Samuel, 1840

Experience the complete, grand epic chronicle detailing the foundational history of the ancient world. Known traditionally as Sefer HaYashar (The Book of the Upright), this text stands completely outside institutional church authorities, remaining a rogue scroll excluded from standard biblical canons. Yet, its shadow looms directly over mainstream scripture, explicitly cited by name inside the standard Bible itself (in Joshua 10:13 and 2 Samuel 1:18) as an absolute authority on lost history.

By locking away this document, centralized authorities suppressed an eyewitness-style chronicle detailing the actual geography, military strategies, and bloodlines of a forgotten era. Translated into English by Moses Samuel in 1840, this monumental translation unearths a lost tapestry spanning from the dawn of creation through the royal courts of Egypt and the battlefields of the Promised Land.

This premium digital product contains the entire uncompromised text delivered as two convenient, high-quality audio files.

🌍 WHY THE CANON DIVERGED

During the consolidation of the Western Church, Roman councils excluded historical and non-theological chronicles that focused on geopolitics and military campaigns rather than religious doctrine. Crucially, this text stands completely outside even the massive, 81-book Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Bible—the very canon that protected Enoch and Jubilees. The Book of Jasher survived not through the imperial protection of a national church, but strictly through rabbinic Jewish custody. The detailed descriptions of ancient empires, lineage structures, and sovereign wars clashed with the simplified, streamlined narrative preferred by centralized authorities, forcing this record of the ancient world into the fringes of history.
